Knowby Status helps track the progress of instructional content from creation to publication. Each status represents a specific stage in the lifecycle of a knowby, ensuring clarity, control, and collaboration.
1. Draft
- A knowby is in the Draft stage when it is still being created or edited.
- It allows authors to make changes without affecting published versions.
- This stage ensures that incomplete or unreviewed content is not shared yet.
2. Awaiting Approval
- Once a knowby is complete, it can be submitted for review, moving it to Submitted for Approval folder.
- This stage allows designated reviewers to check the content for accuracy, clarity, and compliance before it is published.
- Ensures quality control and consistency in instructional materials.
3. Changes Requested
- If the reviewer finds issues or improvements, he requests changed from the original editor of the knowby and a knowby is moved to Awaiting Attention folder.
- The knowby's author needs to address feedback, make necessary edits, and resubmit the knowby for approval.
- This step ensures that only high-quality and accurate instructions move forward.
4. Published
- A knowby reaches published status when it has been reviewed and confirmed as ready for publication and then becomes available for end users.
- Published knowbys can be distributed as needed.
- At this stage, it is considered finalized and actively used for training, support, or operational guidance.
Each status helps manage the knowby lifecycle efficiently, ensuring that only accurate, well-reviewed, and relevant instructions are shared with users.
